Thanx for the info EcoBoost! not sure my girlfriend likes you now, but that's ok! LOL

So, after looking at some of the specs, did anyone notice the brake notes under "MECHANICAL"?

I probably should have been more clear. It has a note about solid rear brakes. does that mean it won't have vented rear rotors?

Isn't that what they did with the MKS from 2009 to 2012 then went to vented?

I don't see the Ultima audio system offered as a stand alone option. Only as part of a 5K package with few other options. Maybe, this info is a bit early and that will change?

Code 68V  $1,130 for the system as a stand alone.

It appears there are 2 different Revel audio systems. The sales brochure lists a 13 speaker Revel audio system and a 19 speaker revel Ultima audio system.

Looks like the 13 speaker system is the code 68V and the 19 speaker system comes with the luxury package.

I thought it must be the 13 speaker system. Seems odd to offer 1 and not the other as stand alone. For 5K, it sounds like the only other options in the package are CD player and different headlamps. The Ultima can't be that much money.

LED headlights are still a pretty expensive option - like these high-end sound-system (basically, any system in that category is at least $2.5-$3K more). If you deduct that from the $5K as well as the CD-Player ($500), that leaves $1.5-$2K for the LEDs which, IMO, is right in the ballpark.

BTW, on the MKX, you also have to opt for the luxury-package in order to get the Ultima.

I see you need to get the luxury package on the MKZ also if you want the Ultima system. Kind of a shame 2 unrelated options are packaged together. I can do without the LED headlamps, but really would want the Ultima.

Yeah, the way these packages are put together is always a bit 'bitter-sweet'. On the on hand, you would like to have more flexibility but on the other hand, you don't want to pay as much on a fully loaded one like BMW charges you for it. They offer you endless possibilities of configuring a car - but you will pay for it..

I would assume that Lincoln made the assumption that the majority of customers interested in these two luxury-features are more likely to buy a fully loaded one. By bundling features into fewer packages, they can offer a vehicle with all options at a lower price.
