I'm waiting to see them at dealers first to check them out.  OK, I've already checked them out, but I'd like to actually drive one.

I've seen the Continental (and MKZ) at auto shows.  They are sharp as can be.  The Continental won't be in until Sept.  The big engine (400hp) may be later.

I will order later this summer or fall after I check out the burgundy velvet and white gold colors.  I am still deciding on color choice.  Some colors are not available with the terracotta interior and I would like to see that, too.   I would prefer to test drive one prior to ordering although an order would not obligate me to purchase the car.

Kind of disappointing that you can't get the Terracotta interior with the Ruby Red or Burgundy Velvet.

I like the cappuccino interior but I do not like the wood that comes with it.  I prefer the tone of the wood that comes with the ebony or terracotta interiors.  I am not fond of an all black interior so I am strongly considering the terracotta.  I have to see it first, though.

The Terracotta appears to be similar to the Hazelnut, at least in pictures. and that was only available with certain paint colors also.

I am hoping that some of the MKZ's start showing up locally since it appears that they are using similar color combinations.

And I'm with you brucelink, I'm not really fond of the ebony or dark interiors. It will come down to which interior or exterior I prefer to live with I guess.

I on the other hand like all black interior. Not sure I like the shiny wood though. I guess 4 choices is better than most, but still seems limited in this category.

I like the looks of a dark interior but not how hot it can get in the sun. My 03 LS hand an interior very similar to the Cappuccino with the dark carpet and light seats and the interior never seemed to be too hot even though the outside was black. First thing I noticed with the MKS was how much hotter in gets inside with the Charcoal interior.

My LS had a dark charcoal interior and was HOT. I like the camel interior in my MKS. The dash and upper door panels are charcoal while the seats are the camel color. I still like shiney wood, too!

I was reading that sedan sales are drying up faster than the desert. Everyone seems to want an SUV. I wonder how much impact that will have on cars in this price range? Perhaps, after the initial rush, there will be big rebates to keep sales moving.

It seems the "SUV" is getting shoved down everyone's throat. For those of us that don't want an SUV, it stinks.

Isn't it so cyclical?  One day, SUVs and CUVs are out as fuel prices go high and hence car sales drop like a stone. After fuel prices rise, the opposite occurs.  It must be hard for auto makers to predict what to make in the planning sense.

Most of the auto makers have new or refreshed sedan models out and little interest. They can't build CUV or SUV fast enough to keep up. That's what makes me wonder if the Continental will do well? Even since I've been thinking about buying one, the MKX is starting to look good. I had a 2007 and liked it enough to buy another. If they put the 3.0 in the 2017, that may be enough to sway me.

I gotta say, looked at an MKC with the Burgundy Velvet and photos of this color do it NO justice at all! Especially in the sun.

No, I wouldn't have an MKC, not into the SUV/CUV thing at all. But, around here, that's all the dealerships have that are new. I just looked at it because of the color.
