In your opinion, is the front clearance less or more under the Conti than the MKS?

The Conti would solve all of those problems. Sounds like a win-win to me!

Kinda what I thought!

I wanted to tell her, as she sat there and cried, "Look, if you feel that bad, let me go order my Conti!"

That would go over like a turd in a punch bowl!

Not sure but I would try to avoid obstacles with either one!

I've test driven two versions of the Continental and I'm about sold on it. I would certainly like to wait until there are some discounts available as I can't see paying MSRP.

I've found that, for me, the 30 way seats with the massage are slightly harder than the seats in the other Conti, because possibly the massaging mechanism is something I can feel even when it isn't on (I have some nerve damage in that region).

I am somewhat confused about the seats.  Are there two or three seat options ?  (front driver).  Or four seat options (including the black label). It could be the upgraded leather is even softer. I'm looking for plush, supportive. I've found a zillion adjustments and massage mechanisms don't help me.

It was the 30 way seats that brought me to a dealer in the first place, but I find I like the whole car in a lot of ways, except the pricetag.

Thanks and hello to everyone, and thanks for anyone who can clarify the seat problem for me.

It is possible that the massage feature makes the seat firmer but I didn't notice that.    About the only way to tell is to try both.  The base Premier series has 10 way adjustable seats and high quality vinyl upholstery.   The Select series has the 10 way seats but they are leather.  Reserve has the 24 way leather.    The 30 way with massage is an option.   I have test driven all 3 and I couldn't tell the difference in softness between any of them.  I like the 24 or 30 way because of the thigh extensions.  I have never sat in a Black Label version but I cannot imagine it feeling any different than the Select or Reserve.  There is nothing in the brochure or dealer training material that would indicate difference in softness.

I suppose pricing might vary somewhat depending upon location and dealer but in a competitive market, there is no way you would have to pay MSRP.   In my area, where there are several dealers competing with each other, paying invoice is common.

I believe there are 3 seat options.
Also I did not feel a noticeable difference in firmness.

I ordered my car the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and was originally given an eight week delivery expectation which would have been mid January 2017.  Then it became mid February.  Now it is March 20.  I was told the delay was due to a quality control issue.  Anyone else having the same issue?

Just received a call from my Lincoln dealership where I ordered my new car.  I have been requesting a build date since I order it  July 4/17.  I have now been informed that they do not know if/when it will be built as there is an issue with production.  I want the continental with the HUD package.  They say should get a answer one way or the other this Wednesday. I will update the status then,

Very disappointed..

I thought the changeover to building 2018 models was in early July.   Maybe the reason your car may not be built is because they are no longer building 2017 models.  Your dealer should know about that.

According to a thread in BlueOval forum the last day of the 2017 build will be 12 of August 2017 and the first day of 2018 build  will be 21 August 2017.  Here is the thread that I am quoting from: http://www.blueovalf...on-information/

Since I am not that familiar with production terminology I may have misinterpreted what these dates mean.

I am going to the dealership on Wednesday and see what is really going on.  They had no problem taking the $ for a down payment.

I will advise Thursday and the results.
