Just curious of the sales succes of the Continental.  I live in NE Illinios, and have still not seen one on the road.  I thought I saw one the other day coming in the opposite direction, but when I saw the rear, of course it was an MKZ instead.  By now, I had expected to see some on the road.

They have sold 3,209 in 2017 through March 31st.  Sales have seemed to slow down some since the last quarter of 2016.  They are still out selling both the Cadillac CTS and CT6.

I haven't seen a single one (except mine) in the Minneapolis area except at dealers.  We recently drove from Minneapolis to Dallas and back.  Didn't see a single one on that trip, either.

I think I've seen 2 on the road. One happened to be in town where I live. local dealership has 2. One is the first one they got in back in January I think. The other hasn't been there long but it is really a base line, least expensive Conti you can get. no options what so ever, 45K and change. But, they still have a '16 MKS.

Another dealership about 45 minutes away has sold 2 or 3 I think the salesman told me.

I think some of that has to do with the dealership.

They are not exactly setting the world on fire. I don't think there are any incentives yet and I don't think there are any fleet sales. I thought it might do a bit better than it is doing, though.

My Lincoln dealer has 16 Continentals in stock right now.  One thing I find curious is the mileage listed on the new cars is anywhere between 15 and 22 miles.  Are these cars put through a test drive before delivery?

Still have not seen one on the highway.

Yes, every new Continental is tested at the factory. There is a 90 kilometer (56 miles) allowance as a new car on delivery to the dealer.

My dealer says the air bag module recall is to blame since it affects most all new Continentals up to 1 March 2017. The delivery of the new revised Takata driver front air bag module was delayed and cars on lots could not be driven or delivered. My dealer just got one needed for a demonstrator this week.

I was headed to a classic car show today in my 1957 Thunderbird, and only two miles from home, a black Continental was at the stop light turning left across the intersection....so now I have actually seen one on the road instead of only the dealer lot.

I saw what I assume was the black one I first saw a few miles from home again yesterday in almost the same area.
